Chef Saito Chau has nearly three decades of experience in Chinese cuisine and has served as head chef at several renowned restaurants in the city. In 2016, he completed the prestigious Master Chef programme at the Chinese Culinary Institute in Hong Kong and has since been actively engaged in teaching and consultancy work, exemplifying his tireless pursuit of excellence and professionalism in the culinary arts.
Chef Chau’s culinary journey began at the age of 15, guided by his grandmother, the family’s “home chef”, who was his first mentor and who instilled in him solid foundational skills in the kitchen. By 20, he had already taken on his first head chef position, and through unwavering dedication and a deep commitment to his craft, he has grown into one of the most representative figures of the new generation in Hong Kong’s Chinese culinary scene.
